She debuted her first single, Here in 2015. She was only 19 years old. It went down a storm and was praised by critics and listeners alike. It reached number 19 in both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the song one of the Top Songs in 2015. The same year, she released Know It All. Scars to Your Beautiful is one of the five original tracks to make it onto the charts of Billboard. It was unique in that many people related to the interviews she gave with The Rap-Up crew about how she struggled in learning to love and accept her. Cara is well-known for including messages on the importance of mental health, kindness and self-love within her music. All of it is a result of her personal experience as she been battling mental health issues as well as insomnia. In a Reuters interview she describes her album as half tumultuous and half perfected. Her growth was aided by therapy and encourages other people to seek assistance if needed. Alessia Cara, a Canadian musician was born in Canada on 11 July 1996. She was born to Italian descent parents. Her first guitar was given to her from her parents at the age of became a teenager and it sparked her passion for the music. She started covering songs that she liked at the age of thirteen to show that world that she had the talent and courage required to become a professional singer. Indeed, one of her cover songs Sweater Weather is the single which got her attention by EP Entertainment. They allowed her to compose and record her tracks.
