Christopher Peter Meloni has been known as a well-known American actor throughout his career. He is most popular for the roles he played in "Law & the Special Victims Unit". From his early college days Meloni had a keen interest in the field of acting. After that, he attended his home institution, the University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he's appeared in films and in television shows but it's the actors portrayed in small screen which have earned him acclaim. His ability to play characters on both sides of law is a draw for the public. He played the role of a serial killer in the first TV show he appeared in and then later played as an NYPD detective. His performances on small screens are rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. He is famous for his blue-piercing eyes that have been a signature and helped portray tough characters with charisma. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
